Volunteering
Why get involved?
A project of this size and scope needs many hands to make it a reality. Volunteers are key to helping our organization function and succeed. By becoming a volunteer, you can get in on the ground floor of this exciting project. Your work will make a difference and will help shape and create the museum.
Our volunteers help us accomplish many key tasks, such as publicizing the project, assisting with events, fundraising and educational outreach. Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the community, make new friends, and know you've made a difference. By volunteering, you may pick up a new skill, learn some new science facts, or gain some valuable experience.
Your efforts with our organization will help bring a state-of-the-art science education facility to the seacoast, and provide endless opportunities for environmental learning for all ages.
What Volunteer Opportunities Are Available?
There are opportunities to suit a range of time commitments and skill areas. You may help out on a regular basis, or just when you can. Volunteers will be notified by e-mail and phone of the opportunities where help is needed each month. We will also provide a calendar to let you know of upcoming events in the months ahead.
There are many ways to help, but volunteers typically may choose to assist with events, educational outreach, mailings and administrative help, publicity, fundraising, and craft projects or tasks to be done at home.
Please contact us via the Contact page if you wish to volunteer.
Board Opportunities
Occasionally we have openings for a board position. Our board of directors is an all volunteer, working board. Please contact us via our Contact page for more information on possible openings and board requirements.
