Epoch Restaurant Creates Special Cocktail to Aid Museum

Epoch Restaurant at the Exeter Inn in Exeter, NH has created a special cocktail to benefit the Friends of the Earth, Sea & Space Center. Fifty percent of the sale of the cocktail, called The Voyager, will go to the Friends.

The Voyager features Magellan gin, Cointreau, lime, and sparkling white grape soda (organic). It sells for $12.00. Magellan Gin itself has an unusual story: In 1519, five ships, led by Ferdinand Magellan, set out to circumnavigate the world and explore the spice islands. Three years later, only the ship “Victoria” returned to Spain, carrying 18 people and several barrels of cloves. Sadly, Magellan, who died in battle during the voyage, never saw the results of his spice discoveries. Those spices inspired the creation of gin as we now know it, and it is to cloves in particular that Magellan Gin owes its unrivaled taste. Cloves are a unique botanical to Magellan Gin.

We invite you to sample "The Voyager" and support our cause. A special "thank you" to Epoch for creating this unique cocktail on our behalf.
